Yankee Air Pirate Patches

Yankee Air Pirate Patches — Vietnam-Era Air Combat Badge of Honor

Yankee Air Pirate — the name the North Vietnamese gave American combat aviators, worn as a badge of pride.

These embroidered patches carry the "Yankee Air Pirate" title — the propaganda name that North Vietnam gave to American military aviators who flew combat missions over North Vietnam. American pilots adopted the name as a badge of honor, turning enemy propaganda into a source of pride. Flying through some of the most intense anti-aircraft defenses in history, these Yankee Air Pirates faced SAMs, AAA, and MiG interceptors on every mission. The name became one of the most iconic morale identifiers of the Vietnam air war.

Perfect For: Vietnam-era aviation veterans, Yankee Air Pirate heritage fans, air combat history enthusiasts, and Vietnam War morale patch collectors.
